To grow the sport, develop promising young athletes and bring engineering fundamentals into practice, LBT founded the LBT Youth Club in 2023 and launched its overseas challenge program. Coaches lead teams systematically and train through competition — a talent pathway where athletes grow in matches and learn through combat. The club now works with robot combat organizers in the US, UK, Germany, the Netherlands and South Korea to give top athletes more high-level international experience, backed by structured coach training, certification, circuit access and talent placement. Local organizations with the right capabilities are welcome to join the youth network and receive our resources, accreditation and services.
- Youth partnerships: accreditation and licensing, coach training and assessment, athlete placement, international circuit access and school program support.
- Looking ahead: a professional league, school leagues, and an international youth sci-tech sports alliance.
- LBT has delivered robot combat foundation courses at Dulwich College (Shanghai Pudong, Shanghai Puxi, Beijing, Suzhou, Seoul and Singapore), Dehong (Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an), Hiba Academy (Shanghai, Beijing, Ningbo, Nanjing, Qingdao), YK Pao School, Shanghai American School and Wellington College Shanghai, and has selected and trained several cohorts of youth athletes.
